About Me

Hi Parents and Students - I'm Mrs. H!

.               .               .

I graduated from West Virginia University  in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Master's Degree in Secondary Education. I graduated as a University Honors Scholar, Magna Cum Laude, and am proud to say I had over one thousand hours of student teaching experience. I worked for many years in the Disability Services Office at West Virginia University, tutoring students with learning disabilities and coaching study skill habits. During this time, I earned the ETS Recognition of Excellence Award for scoring in the top 15% of the Praxis Mathematics Content Knowledge Examination.

My teaching career began in Harford County, Maryland where I taught various levels of Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus BC for two years. During this time, I was a finalist for the William J. Sacco Mathematics Educator Award. In 2017, I transitioned to York County, Pennsylvania where I am currently teaching. At my high school, I have coached track and field, am a Link Crew Coordinator, and have ran various workshops to support struggling students. During the summers, I have taught summer school and have been a faculty member for the Governor's STEM Institute in West Virginia for several years.

In addition to being a high school math teacher, I am an SAT Math Prep Course instructor for Penn State York. I have extensive experience in helping students prepare for the SAT, whether it is the first time they are taking the exam or the third.

I have been privately tutoring for over a decade and am extremely passionate about helping students to meet their goals, no matter what they may be. Let's chat and get you on the path to success!
